CELERY SEED, whole

Celery seed have been used as medicine for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine. They were used to treat colds, flu, water retention, and certain issues of the liver and spleen. Today, celery seed is most commonly used as a diuretic, for treatment of arthritis and gout, calming the nerves, reducing inflammation, and lowering blood pressure.

Celery seed is used in many recipes, including pickling spice, bread, and soups. It can also be brewed as a tea.
